The Waltzer Family Archive
This
archive contains photographs and historical information about the Waltzer family and
relatives descended from Morris and Fruma Waltzer of Philadelphia, PA. The Waltzer name
was given to them (arbitrarily) when they immigrated to the United States from Russia
around the turn of the century. It is therefore unlikely that this branch of Waltzers is
related to others of German or Dutch origin. The original name is believed to have been
the Russian word for "white," roughly translated as "Beliy." The
archive is organized in a cellular format. That is, each page (or cell) is dedicated
to a family unit comprising an individual or couple, their parents and children. There are
also separate pages for photo albums (when available). This allows the archive to be
extended indefinitely as new information is gathered. If you have information or a
web site related to anyone listed here, please let me
know and I will provide a link. This site is maintained by E.G. Waltzer of Bridgewater, NJ. |
